College Graduate Defies The Odds

Recipient of a heart transplant when she was an infant, Lauren Aggen wrote a book called Austin’s Gift to thank the family whose baby son died of SIDS and donated his heart.  She recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

She says, “The challenges have helped make me the strong person I am today.”
