Launch

How does our approach to challenges in our lives impact us and those around us? What happens when we choose our attitude, and how does this make a difference in the world?

For most of my life, I’ve been on a path of transformation. I am compelled to launch this conversation to focus on what inspires people toward personal growth. I know that if folks would just do a gut check, they would find that a lot of their issues and problems start with their own attitude. I also know that as the axiom goes, we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but, rather, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I intend to help advance the evolution of awareness and to help transform the human experience.

I look forward to posting mini essays on these concepts as well as gathering and sharing inspirational stories, poems, parables, quotes and anecdotes. Of course, I have a few of my own, but I would welcome those of others in the virtual community. In addition, I am excited about suggesting especially inspirational sites, books, movies, and programs that I know about firsthand.

I’ll close with the following wisdom…

I will not die an unlived life
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible;
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance,
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.

I had lunch with a g/f of mine today and we were talking about intuition. I told her that I noticed in my social circle that some of my friends were in serious personal turmoil. The ones that were doing okay are very intuitive and follow their guidance regularly. The ones in turmoil tend to ignore any inner guidance. I’ve noticed that lately in my own life, I seem to be paying a higher penalty when I’m not paying attention. She confided that she felt she needed to slow down to hear her inner voice again. She was going through a lot of job stress and was feeling overloaded and scattered. I made the decision to pare down my social activities for the summer and focus on my meditation and yoga practice. It seems to be paying off in terms of more vitality and clarity in my life! :)
