Viktor Frankl quotes Goethe

Holocaust survivor and author of Man’s Search for Meaning talks to college students about reaching potential and the search for meaning in life in the video below.

In his lecture, he quotes Goethe – a quote I just so happen to have taped next to my computer…
“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being.”

Frankl’s core message that humans can make it through just about anything if they can hold a vision of the future in their mind has always resonated with me.  This is man who knows what he’s talking about!
