Inspiring People: Misty Copeland, Unlikely Ballerina
The most recent “inspiring people” video I posted was about a Russian dancer. This time I’m highlighting a dancer from the U.S. who’s mastered a style revered in Russia… ballet.
In this story by ABC News, you’ll learn about some of the barriers that Misty Copeland has broken through – she rightly calls herself an “unlikely ballerina.”
Her hard work and perseverance was rewarded as she made history in 2015 by becoming the first black principal ballerina for the American Ballet Theatre. Way to go, Ms. Copeland!
